Illegal Moves

The following are a list of illegal moves during competition at a Series Tour Event. Failure to comply with this rule set will result in but not limited to disqualification from competition, 3 tournament suspension, or banishment for life from The Eternal Cup Series Tour.  

Kids (7-12 yrs)

No Submission 

No Slamming

No Bending Fingers Backwards

No Scissor Takedown

 

Teens (13-15 Yrs)

No Leg Locks

No Compression Submission within the close guard

No Wrist Locks

No Spinal Locks (this includes guillotine chokes)

Scissor Takedown can only be performed in defence of a single leg takedown, but the athlete applying the scissor takedown must have a grip on his opponent. 

No Bending Fingers Backwards

No Leg or Bicep Slicers

No Triangle where the athlete pull the opponent's head down (legal to squeeze by wrapping the arm around his/her own knees).

Teens (16-17 Yrs)

No Leg Locks

No Compression Submission within the close guard

No Wrist Locks

No Spinal Locks (this includes guillotine chokes)

Scissor Takedown can only be performed in defence of a single leg takedown, but the athlete applying the scissor takedown must have a grip on his opponent. 

No Bending Fingers Backwards

No Leg or Bicep Slicers

Adult White Belts

No Leg Locks

No Compression Submission within the close guard

No Wrist Locks

Scissor Takedown can only be performed in defence of a single leg takedown, but the athlete applying the scissor takedown must have a grip on his opponent.

No Leg or Bicep Slicers

Adult Blue Belts

Only Straight Ankle Lock (only legal if the submission hold is applied to the outside of the opponent knee).  

No Compression Submission within the close guard

No Bending Fingers Backwards

No Leg Slicers

Adult Purple Belts

Only Straight Ankle Lock (only legal if the submission hold is applied to the outside of the opponent knee) and Knee Bar.

 Leg Slicers (only legal if the submission hold is applied to the outside of the opponent knee).

Adult Brown Belts

Only Straight Ankle Lock (only legal if the submission hold is applied to the outside of the opponent knee), Knee Bar, Estima Lock, and Toe Hold.  

No Compression Submission within the close guard
